Love Your Way to a Better Life
Building a Mission Focused Relationship
An Essential Guide

  • Gain clarity
  • Increase commitment
  • Create the shared life you’ve only imagined

Dear Ardent Adventurer,

One of the most romantic things my partner and I did last year was spend a Saturday in Griffith Park crafting our relationship mission statement. It was an exciting week leading up to the day as I dug through my notes and explored my desires for my and our future. I looked back at what’s been working, and what I could do better, as well as what I would like to make better between us. As we sat down on that park bench and spread out our materials we looked into one another’s eyes and spoke from our hearts the world around us melted away. We listened deeply to one another as we crafted and synergized the creation of our mission statement based on our most intimate vulnerabilities, desires, and intentions. It’s possible that the ritual itself may have been even more important than the content. I challenge you to make the writing of mission one that focuses on the ritual of light and love you wish to share with your partner, not just in the formal words you choose, but in how you co-create a mission that continues to speak to you long after it is written.

What it did for us was give us a common voice to articulate our dreams of our journey together

What it meant for us was that we were literally and figuratively on the same page

What we’ve been able to create has been an open-ended adventure of shared dreams

Over the last year we have returned to our mission countless times with joy, but also amidst challenges to reinvigorate our commitment to building a relationship of our dreams. As a further expression of love I decided to write this guide to help  you make your own magical expression of love and commitment. I hope that this guide can bring your relationship the clarity and harmony it did for mine.

All my love,

Lawrence

P.S. Are you single or unattached? This is for you too! If you are looking to start a relationship this guide contains tools for you to help clarify and attract the relationship of your dreams!

Build your MISSION BASED RELATIONSHIP

Personal inquiry or a personal identity audit is the key to self knowledge. You cannot accept, improve, or otherwise modify what you do not know. A mission statement or vision helps each individual determine how they want to live their life and becomes the yardstick on which to measure whether you are getting what you desire or not!

Here’s what some of the greatest philosophers and minds had to say about the importance of self-discovery:
“Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.” – Aristotle
“At the center of your being, you have the answer; you know who you are and you know what you want.” – Lao Tzu
“And you? When will you begin that long journey into yourself?” Rumi
“When I discover who I am, I’ll be free.” – Ralph Ellison
“The most difficult thing in life is to know yourself.” – Thales
“There are three things extremely hard: steel, a diamond, and to know one’s self.”– Benjamin Franklin

Great reminder, yet most of us go our entire lives without taking a time out to get to know ourselves and what we want out of life and our relationships. Let me help you start now!
